Beyoncé changed the game when she released her genre-bending country album, Cowboy Carter, in March, and Kelsea Ballerini made sure she got her flowers.
Ballerini performed at Glamourâs Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday night for a rapt crowd of honorees, including Beyoncéâs mother, Miss Tina Knowles. And Beyoncé, along with Knowlesâs bonus daughter Kelly Rowland, came to the ceremony to celebrate their motherâs big achievement.
And of course, Ballerini had to acknowledge that Queen B was in the house, and laud her impact on country music this year.
âI also just want to say, Iâm a country artist and the fact that Beyoncé made a country record changed the game,â she said, thanking the superstar. In response, Bey put her hands on her heart and mouthed âThank you so much.â
Women supporting women at Women of the Year, we love to see it!
