Caitlin Clark Celebrates Boyfriend Connor McCaffery's Major Career Update

Congratulations to Caitlin Clark…’s boyfriend! The basketball superstar just announced that her longtime significant other, Connor McCaffery, has joined the coaching team for the men’s basketball program at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.

This means that they’re both going to be able to stay in Indiana (Clark plays for the Fever), and they’re both contributing to the game they love. Power couple alert.

“Yayy! So happy for you,” clark wrote on her Instagram Stories, sharing the official post from Butler welcoming McCaffery to the school. Previously, McCaffery worked as an assistant to the Indiana Pacers, and before that, played college hoops in Iowa, where his dad was a coach and his brother was also on the team.

“Following a high-level playing career, Connor has had the opportunity to both contribute and learn alongside one of the best staffs in the NBA,” said Butler head coach Thad Matta in a statement. “Those experiences will be very valuable to our staff. He obviously comes from a basketball family that I know very well and I’m excited for the impact he is going to have on our program both quickly and in the long run.

Clark and McCaffery have been together since at least August 2023, when they went Insta-official (here’s a complete relationship timeline). The two don’t post too many intimate details about their relationship online, but they have a playful banter that’s very charming. “Happy Birthday Con! Celebrating you is easy 🙂 thankful to have someone as selfless and as loving as you in my life🖤 May this be the year you finally find a way to outshoot me ;)” Clark wrote in July for her bf’s birthday. When Caitlin Clark turned 22, McCaffery called it her “T Swift year” in his post (for her song “22”), and Clark commented, “acting like u a T swift fan tho is crazy.”

Okay fine! I love them!
