Megyn Kelly didn’t like what Caitlin Clark had to say about her own experience of white privilege in the WNBA, and Clark has already responded to Kelly’s disapproval.
Clark was named TIME Magazine’s athlete of the year, and in her profile interview, said that the WNBA was built on Black players. âI want to say Iâve earned every single thing, but as a white person, there is privilege,â she said. In response, Kelly wrote on Twitter, âLook at this. Sheâs on the knee all but apologizing for being white and getting attention. The self-flagellation.â She called Clark’s comments âcondescending,â âfake,â and âsad.â

But this ain’t Clark’s first rodeo, and she had the perfect response when asked about Kelly’s criticisms at the âA Year In Timeâ event on December 11. âI feel like Iâve always had a really good perspective on everything thats happened in my life,â she said, reiterating the importance of lifting up Black players in the WNBA who have been overlooked. âOne of my best skills is just blocking things out,â she continued, and said that the only opinions that matter to her come from, âpeople that I love, my teammates, my coaches,â and, âthe people that I see every single day.â
