UPDATE: November 29, 2024 at 2:30 PM—Donna Kelce really had us going there for a minute. Weeks after warning fans that Taylor Swift would be too “busy” to attend the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Las Vegas Raiders on November 29, Travis Kelce’s mom walked into Arrowhead with the aforementioned pop star.
The pair arrived at Arrowhead Stadium in matching black and red looks, though Mamma Kelce rocked black leather pants and white sneakers while Swift went for a very millennial-coded look. In fact, the last time we can remember Swift wearing skinny jeans tucked into ankle boots was back in 2017… You can read more about that possible Reputation Easter egg here:
ORIGINAL STORY— Travis Kelce plays football today, which means everyone’s on the lookout for Taylor Swift. On November 29, the Kansas City Chiefs are set to face off against the Las Vegas Raiders on their home turf, which is a good sign for those on Taylor Watch.
Though Swift has skipped every away game this season, the 34-year-old pop star has yet to miss a chance to support her boyfriend at Arrowhead Stadium. And while many fans assume she’ll keep the pattern going, the NFL player’s own mom recently cast doubt on her attendance.
During a pre-Thanksgiving appearance on Today, Donna Kelce was asked point-blank if Swift would be taking part in the Kelce family‘s Thanksgiving plans. “I don’t think so,” she said on November 14. “She’s kind of busy right now. She still has her tour to do.”
At the time, Donna said the family hadn’t planned anything for Thanksgiving beyond her son’s football game the following day. “I am going to be at a football game. Travis is playing the day after Thanksgiving,” she said. “You know, football is always the holiday. Football is family.”
Of course, that doesn’t mean Taylor Swift is definitely skipping the game. After all, Donna might not have been aware that the pop star’s next concert isn’t scheduled until December 6. Next Friday, Swift officially kicks off the final three dates of the Eras Tour in Vancouver, Canada.
