Margot Robbie and Her Iconic Pregnancy Style: A Guide

Long gone are the days when maternity clothes are limited to varying degrees of tent. Margot Robbie has fully embraced the if-you-got-it-flaunt-it theory of dressing a baby bump with her maternity style full of sheer looks, body-con dresses, and the like. Needless to say, we’re fans.

People confirmed that Robbie was expecting her first baby with husband Tom Ackerley in July of 2024. Shortly after that, the Barbie star began showing off her growing belly in a variety of figure-hugging looks. There’s plenty of style inspiration to take from the looks below, including a chic turtleneck dress that could easily be worn to the office and an elevated take on what to wear while running errands.

Ahead, we break down Margot Robbie’s pregnancy style.

All Black in London

Two days after Robbie’s pregnancy was announced, she was spotted in London at a party for her Gin brand, Papa Salt. For this occasion, she wore a looser-fit black dress with a high leg slit and mesh heels. If you’re inspired by the look but skeptical about wearing heels while pregnant—which, understandable!—consider trying a pair of trendy mesh ballet flats instead.

Polka Dots at Wimbledon

For another one of her early post-pregnancy-reveal appearances, Robbie was photographed at Wimbeldon wearing a white polka dot dress with just enough draping to show off her bump. A similarly draped top with maternity jeans would be a cute way to still adopt the look in colder temps.

Body Con for the My Old Ass Screening

Months later, Robbie walked the red carpet for My Old Ass, a movie she produced, in a stretchy gray off-the-shoulder dress that hugged her bump. We love the off-the-shoulder neckline!
