Status Quo
“Send me some info.”
Why they say it. It is a polite exit that ends the call without saying no. Nine times out of ten the deck goes unread, it is a way to reclaim control of the conversation.
Do not: Do not just say sure and fire off a generic deck, which lets the deal die quietly in their inbox.
Say this
Happy to, and I want to make sure I send something useful instead of a generic overview you will skim once. The info that actually lands is the part tied to your situation, so help me aim it. What is the one thing that, if this could solve it, would make it worth a real look?
Then ask. If I send the right one pager, are you open to fifteen minutes next week to react to it, or is this more of a not right now?
