peaq Blockchain Integration Marks Milestone for Synternet's Data Layer Evolution

Synternet integrates peaq, a Layer 1 blockchain, as a Publisher on its Data Layer. This enables developers on the network to build innovative DApps that solve real-world problems. 

Synternet, a blockchain data infrastructure, announced the integration of peaq, a blockchain designed to be the go-to backbone for DePIN and Machine RWAs, as a Publisher on its data layer. The integration will unlock various real-world use cases on Synternet, allowing the development of event-driven applications on the network. Developers will also have a customizable stream of live data from peaq, enabling them to build use cases such as Web3 traffic management, power grid optimization, and advanced analytics etc. 

The integration enables developers on Synternet access to peaq’s on-chain data, including transactions and dataflows from real-world dApps, available as a stream of live data on its decentralized network. In addition, peaq’s on-chain data will allow developers to build analytical tools, dashboards and AI/ML apps as well as leverage event-driven architecture on peaq’s Economy of Things.

A new world of event-driven applications

One of the crucial benefits the partnership brings is enabling developers on Synternet to leverage peaq’s Economy of Things. This allows the creation of event-driven applications which respond to specific events with a predefined set of actions. Within peaq’s Economy of Things, which includes multiple decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePINs), developers can create several solutions to real-world problems. 

Some of the solutions built on the event-driven application framework include a navigation DApp responding to traffic congestion by rerouting vehicles to alternative paths, a power grid management app engaging extra capacities in peak hours, and an environment monitoring app tapping data from multiple DePINs to flag negative trends. Following the integration, development in event-driven applications is expected to grow, providing infrastructure and live data to build “innovative projects and use cases in the Economy of Things on peaq”, Simanavicius added. 

Adding to its event-driven applications, peaq joining Synternet will also provide developers with a customizable stream of peaq’s on-chain data. This data stream will allow builders to run analytics and data visualizations and build versatile event-powered dApps.
