Did Selena Gomez enjoy working on Emilia Perez, you ask? Based on the extensive behind-the-scenes photo dump she posted to Instagram on October 22, I’d say she sure did.
The actor/pop star uploaded several photos and videos from her time filming, starting with a selfie video of herself singing along to music from the film. The gallery also included pics of herself out to dinner with her costars Zoe Saldaña and Édgar Ramírez, a few dance rehearsals, and one selfie of herself covered in fake blood. (At least, I hope that’s fake.)

“Reflecting on the many adventures working on Emilia,” Gomez wrote in the caption. “From my audition to head banging at half the speed as what we shot it. Pretty sure I got whiplash in the best way.”
This isn’t even the first Emilia Perez–related photo dump Selena Gomez has posted to Instagram. Just a week prior, she uploaded another gallery of photos with scenes from the London leg of her press tour. That gallery included a good mix of red carpet shots with off-duty snaps, in which Gomez seemingly spent equal time slaying and then unwinding.
At the film’s official premiere on October 21, Gomez described kind of “blacking out” during her audition for the role, explaining that the director Jacques Audiard wanted her to behave absolutely unhinged during the scene. “I went totally for it,” she told the Hollywood Reporter. “I was standing on furniture and I black out, but I was just singing my heart out and dancing like a mad woman. I guess a drunk mad woman. And it was a very crazy experience. But I was honored when [Audiard] decided to ultimately go with me.”
