SSVDivers, the community initiative focused on raising awareness of SSV Network and its DVT staking protocol, is seeking new ambassadors. Individuals with an interest in crypto staking and who are keen to gain a foothold in the industry are invited to apply for the program.
SSVDivers oversee decentralized, autonomous communities around the world tasked with hosting events and workshops designed to disseminate knowledge about SSV. These mini-events provide an opportunity to bring together like-minded individuals including developers, solo stakers, and node operators. There’s also an online component for Divers whose best work is done from behind a screen.
Arming Ambassadors to Spread Staking Knowledge
As a decentralized network, SSV’s protocol is open for anyone to build on. Its open-source distributed validator technology (DVT) can be integrated into existing staking infrastructure to increase fault tolerance, while institutional and consumer staking dapps can be deployed on SSV. In keeping with the spirit of a community-centric decentralized protocol, the SSVDivers program is open to anyone.
There are two primary benefits to be gained by ambassadors who sign up for the initiative. There’s the opportunity to meet real-world contacts that it presents and to encounter like-minded souls who have shared interests in themes such as crypto staking. The second benefit is that becoming an SSVDiver can be a stepping stone to a web3 career, be it on the developer side, marketing, or management.
The range of tasks that SSVDivers can take on, depending on their skill set, are varied. They can range from simple activities like amplifying SSV’s social media presence to creating independent projects that will promote SSV and increase adoption of DVT.
Incubating the Best Ideas
The appeal of participating in a program such as SSVDivers is that there’s a degree of latitude in how each ambassador elects to harness the skills and resources at their disposal. While hosting real-world events is the most obvious way to raise awareness of SSV and to meet fellow community members, the program also provides scope for online ambassadorship.
For example, SSV is keen to encourage the development of third-party monitoring tools that make it easier to track key components of the staking landscape such as node uptime, DVT adoption, average staking rewards, and other benchmarks. There’s also the potential to create monitoring tools that make use of AI.
Web3 provides a wealth of opportunities to creative talents, whether they be coders, copywriters, event organizers, or PR gurus. The difficulty, as holds true of so many industries, is getting started. Once given an opportunity to demonstrate their talents, most web3 apprentices seize the opportunity and don’t look back. The SSVDivers program has the potential to provide that head start, granting the resources and connections to make a career of crypto.
