The post-finale Bachelorette drama continues, and it’s been getting uglier with each new development.
To recap where we left off: Bachelorette Jenn Tran and her final pick Devin finished the season engaged, but broke up before the After the Final Rose segment was aired live. During AFR, Tran claimed that Devin grew distant soon after filming wrapped, and eventually broke up with her over a short phone call. But the drama didn’t end there.
Presumably in an effort to clear his name, on September 10, Devin posted a (now deleted) 13-minute video to Instagram explaining his side of the breakup story, and including several screenshots of texts between himself and Tran. He quickly deleted the post and then re-uploaded a redacted version, per E! News, but the damage was done.
Now, it’s Tran’s turn to respond.
Speaking to Nick Viall on his Viall Files podcast (per Us Weekly), Tran said she felt “betrayed” and “disrespected” by Devin’s choice to share their private texts. “I don’t have a problem with him going out there and saying what he needs to say, but I have a problem with him invading my privacy and releasing texts without telling me [and] without giving me notice,” Tran said. “Also some of the things, he conveniently blurred out certain things but forgot to blur out other things that were very, very private. Like, my mom’s on the internet, dude, what’s up with that? It was disrespectful and I don’t appreciate it at all.”
